Day 01: Lima

Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Lima at the designated hotel.

Day 02: Lima -City Tour Lima & Moderna & Sanctuary of Pachacamac

In the morning, we will have the best excursion to know Lima and its history. We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the "Pucllana Pyramid", magnificent ceremonial center. We visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Municipal Palace between others. We will enter one of the most important convents of the seventeenth century, the Santo Domingo Convent, where the relics of the three Peruvian saints Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martin de Porres and San Juan Macías are still preserved. After the visit to Lima we will taste a lunch. Then we will continue our tour through the traditional district of Barranco, appreciate the Central Park, the Bajada de los Baños, the Old Library, the "ranchos" or colonial houses, the traditional Bridge of Sighs and its famous Boulevard which is the most bohemian expression of the nightlife in Lima. Continuing with our tour we will take the South Pan-American Highway, to arrive at Pachacamac, the most important ceremonial center of the coast of Peru in pre-Hispanic times. Here we can appreciate its various constructions made in clay dating from different centuries. Throughout time, Pachacamac was occupied by different cultures such as the Lima culture, the Wari culture, the Ichma culture, until the Inca Empire (15th century). Among the constructions that we will visit, include the Temple of Adobitos (1st century AD), the Old Temple of Pachacamac (1st century AD), the New or Painted Temple (8th century AD), the Pyramids with ramp (13th century AD), the Temple of the Sun (15th century AD), among other important constructions. Finishing our tour back to the hotel. Morning or afternoon free for personal activities. Accommodation in Lima at the designated hotel.

Day 03: Lima/Cusco 

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to board the flight to the city of Cusco. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon for acclimatization to the height. Accommodation in Cusco at the designated hotel. 

Meals: Breakfast.

 

Day 04: Cusco - City Tour Cusco & Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuamán - Cusco

Free morning for personal activities. In the afternoon, we will begin our visit to the capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco. You can admire the wonderful Inca and Spanish legacy of the colony. Visit among other attractions the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha on which the Santo Domingo Convent was built, you can also admire the Plaza de Armas and its colonial architectural legacies. Finished the visit to the city we will go to the outskirts to be able to appreciate the four more important archaeological rest like Sacsayhuamán, Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Return to the city. Accommodation in Cusco at the designated hotel.

Day 05: Cusco/Machu Picchu/Cusco

Very early, we will go to the railway station, to board the train that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes and station of the same name. In this station, our staff will assist you to board the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu (meaning "Old Mountain" in Quechua), considered a masterpiece of Inca architecture and engineering. Our wonder of the world is at 2,450 m.a.s.l. In our guided, we will be able to appreciate all its majesty. After the visit we will go down to the village to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Finished the tour return to the city. Accommodation in the city of Cusco at the designated hotel.

Day 06: Cusco/Lima 

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to board the flight to the city of Lima. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon for personal activities. Accommodation in Lima at the designated hotel.

Day 07: Lima/Iquitos/Heliconia Amazon River Lodge

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to board your flight to the city of Iquitos. Arrival and transfer, the journey begins from arriving at the port of Bellavista where we will board the boat to undertake the great trip through the Amazon River to the Yanamono Forest, an area that has the largest number of tree species. We will visit a native community where you will have the opportunity to share their customs, dances and crafts. After a well-deserved rest, we will start a walk through the Primary Forest of the Communal Reserve of Yanamono; here you can identify botanical species such as "Heliconias", medicinal plants and gigantic trees, as well as different species of birds. After contemplating the beautiful Amazonian sunset, we will start an interesting night boat ride through the Manco Gorge or the Amazon River to delight ourselves with the magical sounds of the jungle and in the light of the moon, we can observe the constellations. Overnight at the designated lodge.

Day 08: Heliconia Amazon River Lodge

The adventure begins at dawn with a fascinating birdwatching tour through the Quebrada Cáceres where we will observe various species of beautiful and colorful birds. Later and throughout the morning, we will enjoy an unforgettable excursion through the Amazon River where we will look for the pink dolphins; we will also have the opportunity to do artisanal fishing where you will feel the thrill of fishing for piranhas and other varieties of fish. In the afternoon, we will observe the impressive "Victorias Regia" in the lakes located within the Yanamono Island. At night, the adventurers will start a night walk around the lodge to search and observe tarantulas, fireflies and other nocturnal species of our Amazonia. Overnight at the designated lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

 

Day 09: Heliconia Amazon River Lodge/Iquitos/Lima

To culminate these wonderful days submerged in the jungle, we will have the opportunity to visit a rustic craft trapiche warehouse where you can taste the different regional drinks made with the juice of sugar cane. At the coordinated time we will return to Iquitos to be transferred to the airport and take the flight to the city of Lima, arrival and connection with your international flight.
